I think as with any job in life you always get your handful of 'jobs-worths' who may abuse their power or let it go to their head and it tarnishes the whole lot, I think that most coppers are alright, some are really great. It was my own dream job to become one myself before my accident.
The only bad experience I had was when we stopped to ask for directions in Leicester one time and we was given a ticket for having a marginally smaller number plate than required... we're talking millimeters and the copper got out a ruler and measured it. So much for being helpful with directions!
