To the traffic cop in the T5 on Bessingby Hill

05 Jun 2010, 23:46

You t*sser!

The whole reason why I was watching you so intently wasn't because I was doing something wrong, it's because I could hardly believe the miserable look on your face! And the fact I know more or less every cop in Driffield/Bridlington but I haven't seen you before. You look a bit like one of my neighbours who's a cop but then he works for North Yorkshire not Humberside.

You looked like a pit bull that has just licked a nettle a cat had p*ssed on!

And what a stupid place to stop! Right on the hill 50 yards before the traffic lights! Now I know if I or anyone else had of stopped there we'd have been nicked on the spot for causing an obstruction. But oh no! Just because you're in a marked car and wear a uniform you think you can stop where the hell you like don't you?

Did you really think I was going to continue trying to turn right so you could pull out after me and give me a tug? Yeah right! At £5.50 a gallon for fuel, I was really going to waste yet another 10 minutes trying to turn right with my engine ticking over wasting fuel wasn't I?

Nice try in trying to come after me too, I'm really convinced it was a completely legal move to pull out into heavy traffic, turn left at the lights, make a u-turn where the hospital it, go through a RED light to turn right and come after me wasn't it? What's more you didn't even have your blues going did you?

And all because I dared to look at you! How pathetically petty and immature!

Now if you're going to drive around in a marked up car and in a uniform with a miserable look on your face on such a beautifully sunny day then except to be looked at. I certainly wasn't going to allow you to waste my time having me stood at the roadside for no good reason other than I dared to look at you directly. I wasn't speeding since I was stationary, I'm taxed, tested, insured, I was wearing my seatbelt, so you wouldn't have got me on anything.

Next time you see me, trying smiling for gawds sake! Your face won't crack.

And a piece of advice pal, of you are lucky enough to give me a tug in the future then be aware if you start giving me attitude you'll get it back! I and nobody else in the area is a target for your miserable looks and no doubt miserable attitude, So get ye back where ye came from ya miserable git!

You must have forgot to mention that in your first post, but please do tell all the outcome

Thinking isn't your forte, clearly.

No, but spotting a complete fool is....

I'm just wondering why YOU seem to get hassled all the time? :eh:

Is it because of the stable or is that complete sheds of bikes you ride around on?

I've rode in all weathers for the last 17+ years, all year round and commute to work everyday and guess what?

I don't get hassled.

ya gotta admit Dusty,

unless the poe faced copper is a lurker on this site ( which i doubt, but you never know) it does come across as another bit of a rant. but I'm glad you have an incident number... lets hope it doesnt get to the " walking on the cracks on the pavement" and " wearing a loud T shirt in a built up area" stage.

I know the feds want to be "public friendly" and all that, but this is a bit much.

Is it a new service they provide?

I just don't get it myself mate. I was doing nothing except sitting there waiting to turn right.

OK so I "tracked" him as he drove up the road as I couldn't believe how miserable the git looked and since it was really heavy traffic it's not like I had anything better to do anyway :)

What p*ssed me off was the illegal moves, stopping in the place he stopped for a start, the illegal turn outside the hospital, the going through a red light and for what? All because I dared to stare at him???

I can't say I've seen the guy before and hope I don't see him again. Clearly he's not taken it any further as the car isn't on the ANPR hit list due to the fact I was in front of a traffic car with a dash cam today and he didn't bother me though I thought he might as I stopped on double yellows in Driff to pick up the wife.
